The mosque has a square floor-plan and ogee windows. It faces a south-western direction towards Mecca. Following the end of Turkish occupation, Bishop Nesselrode turned into a chapel. Inside there is an exhibition of objects donated by the Turkish government. Prayer-mats lie in front of the mihrab while the mimbar (pulpit) is placed on the right and the “kürsü” (lectern) can be seen on the left: both are made of rose-wood. On either side of the entrance, there are partitioned podiums festooned with carpets which indicate the place for women. Its furnishings are entirely in line with religious doctrine, so it is regularly used by the Muslims living in Pécs.
